Gionee S8s Full Specifications

Gionee S8s is a brand new device from Gionee with a wide notch which is dubbed the “Notch Fullview Display”. The device also sports a moderate 5.86-inch display, 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of expandable storage, dual rear camera setup and a 3000mAh equipped with fast charging which Gionee says will get the phone up to 100% from 0% in less than an hour. Gionee S8s Design And Display

The Gionee S8s design and display is pretty basic with nothing out of the ordinary. It has a 5.86-inch display with a wide notch cut out at the top which houses the front-facing camera, speaker grill and proximity sensor. The display itself has an HD 1520 x 720 pixels screen resolution and of course, a 19:9 aspect ratio. There is also a significant amount of chin at the bottom.

At the back of the device is the vertically lined up camera at the top left corner with an LED flash underneath. Fingerprint sensor for biometric Authentication sits at its usual spot at the centre. The overall device is made with plastic as expected in this price bracket. It weighs 167.5 grams and measures 8.75mm in thickness with two colour options; Black and Gold. There are a total of three ports here – Two Nano SIM slots and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

For the rear camera, the Gionee S8s is packed two cameras; a main 13MP shooter which is accompanied by a secondary 5MP depth sensor camera, making portrait mode photos possible. It is also equipped with a dual-LED flash for those low light shots. The front facing camera is a single 8MP camera catering for all the selfies needs.

Insider the Gionee S8s is MediaTek Helio P22 which has an Octa-core Processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU clocked at 650MHz. There is also 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further, up to 128GB via the onboard dedicated microSD slot. This device also runs the latest version of the Android Operating System – Android 9.0 Pie – out of the box which has the Gionee UI slapped on top of course.
