Energizer Power Max P18k Pop is a new smartphone from the Avenir Telecom company. The Power Max in the device’s name stands for the maximum amount of power this device brings, the 18k stands for the actual battery capacity – 18,000mAh – that’s inside this device and the “POP” stands for the pop-up selfie camera at the top of the device. Energizer Power Max P18K Pop Design And Display

The design of the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop is nothing out of the ordinary. At the front is the massive 6.2-inch Full HD+ 1080p display with a 407ppi. Aspect ratio stands at 19:9 with a very minimal bezel, both at the top and at the bottom. This device utilises a pop-up mechanism for the dual selfie camera which pops up when you need it and goes back down when not in use.

At the back is the triple camera setup lined up vertically at the top left side of the device with the dual LED flash below the cameras. Surprisingly, there is no fingerprint sensor on this device; both at the back or underneath the display at the front. Colour options available are just Blue and Back. This device also uses a Hybrid Dual Nano SIM slot – Two SIM or One SIM and one MicroSD card.

A total of 5 cameras are on this device; 3 at the rear and 2 up front in the pop-up compartment. The triple rear camera is made up of a 12MP shooter with PDAF, a secondary 5MP camera and a 2MP depth sensor camera. It is also equipped with a dual-LED dual-tone flash, Panorama and HDR. 1080p video recording is also available but capped at a maximum of 30fps. The front-facing pop cameras (16MP main shooter and a 2MP depth sensor camera) are also capable of 1080p video recording at 30fps.

Energizer Power Max P18K Pop Hardware and Software

MediaTek’s Helio P70 SoC takes charge in this device with 8 cores clocked at 2.0GHz with a Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It also comes with a Whooping 6GB of RAM which is more than enough for all your multitasking needs and a 128GB Internal storage for files. Internal storage here can be expanded further via a microSD card, up to 128GB however, you’ll have to sacrifice the second SIM slot as it has a Hybrid SIM slot. This device also runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie Operating System out of the box.

Battery & Network Connectivity

The massive 18,000mAh battery capacity on this device is perhaps the best highlight of this smartphone. The battery is also equipped with an 18W fast battery charging or USB Power Delivery (USB PD) 2.0. It can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices (Reverse Charging). Other features of this device include 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, GPS, FM radio and a USB Type-C port with support for USB On The Go. There is no NFC, Fingerprint Sensor or a 3.5mm jack.
